AguardenteSugar cane spirit
Distilled from cane, straight from Madeira. Clear, warm, faintly grassy. This is the engine.
Poncha, stirred by hand.
Arepas from next door.
Como se faz
Poncha isn't a cocktail so much as a habit. On Madeira it's what fishermen drank before a shift and what everyone drinks after one. Three ingredients, mixed in front of you, in the glass, with a piece of wood. That's the whole trick — and it's why it tastes like nothing you'll get from a gun behind a chain bar.

Segundo
Bee honey and juice squeezed to order. Sweet on one side, sharp on the other, argued into balance.
Terceiro
The caralhinho — the wooden stirrer in our logo. Worked in the glass until it's cloudy. Then it's yours.
A Carta · The list
Every one of these is mixed in front of you with cane spirit, honey and fresh juice. Ask for it mais forte if you want it stronger — nobody here will blink.
Tradicional £6.00
Poncha pescador. Cane spirit, honey, lemon. The one they've been drinking in Câmara de Lobos for two hundred years.
Maracujá £6.00
Passionfruit. The one everyone orders second and then keeps ordering. Seeds and all.
Limão £6.00
Lemon, and more lemon. Sharper and cleaner than the traditional. Good in the sun, better after work.
Kiwi & Hortelã £6.00
Kiwi & mint. Green, cold and dangerously easy. Our own addition to the Madeiran canon.
A jug of any flavour — four glasses, one stirrer, no hurry.
Ao Balcão
Six stools, a wooden counter and a shelf that leans Portuguese. If you can't see it, ask — there's usually a bottle of it somewhere.
Madeira's strangest and best idea: cold lager, white wine and pineapple ice cream, blended. It shouldn't work. Order one and argue with us afterwards.
Ask at the barThe kitchen next door
Same doorway, different country. Yorka’s kitchen runs Venezuelan through and through — arepas, pepitos, tequeños — with a Madeiran streak running under it: picadinhos, milho frito, bolo do caco. Order at the bar, eat with your hands.

Quem somos
Victor and Yorka opened No. 6 because Jersey had everything except the bar they missed. He's Madeiran, she's Venezuelan, and neither of them wanted to run half a place — so the poncha and the arepas share a doorway and mostly get along.
It's small on purpose. Wooden counter, six stools, whatever's playing. You'll hear Portuguese at one end and Spanish at the other, and by the second glass it won't matter which one you speak.
Vem cá. Ven pa'cá. Come in.
